5 Day Natural Wonders of the Top End "plus" Aboriginal Culture

Day 1- Litchfield National Park: An early start and well worth the effort. Highlights today will include Magnetic Termite Mounds, the magnificent falls of Tolmer, Wangi, Florence and the truly beautiful Buley Rockhole. Enjoy lunch and a swim at the falls, before continuing to Katherine via Adelaide River. Lunch at Monsoons, Wangi Falls. Arrive in Katherine at approximately 5:30pm. Day 2- Manyallaluk: Depart Katherine at approximately 8:00am to spend a day with the local Aboriginal people, sharing their culture and giving you a hands on experience that you will never forget. On arrival at Manyallaluk, you will be greeted by your Aboriginal guides for the day. Take a short informative walk and see bush tucker and medicines in season. Swim in the spring fed waterhole before lunch including Kangaroo and Barramundi. Afternoon activities include traditional bark painting, fire lighting and basket weaving. Return to Katherine approximately 5:30pm. DAY 3- Katherine: Depart Katherine at approximately 8:00am for a 2 hr Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge cruise. After your cruise, visit the Katherine Museum before lunch at Pine Tree Motel. After lunch, enjoy a swim at the Katherine Hot Springs before travelling to Springvale Hometead for afternoon tea and a historical tour of the oldest standing homestead in the Territory. Visit other local attractions during the rest of the afternoon and arrive back at your aaccommodation at approximteky 5.00pm. DAY 4- Kakadu National Park: Depart Katherine at 7:00am for and exciting 2 days in Kakadu. Enjoy the slendour of Edith Falls, a deep permanent pool fringed by Pandanus palms and high cliffs, before entering Kakadu National Park through the southern entrance via Pine Creek and mary River. We then go to Cooinda, home of Yellow Water Cruises. You will enjoy the variety of birds, wildlife and crocodiles on a sunset cruise. Overnight at your choice of accommodstion either Gagudju Lodge or the Safari Camp. DAY 5- Kakadu National Park: Depart at 7.00am for Nourlangie Rock, just magic at this time of the morning. Today will create long lasting memories of Kakadu for you, including Ubirr, Bowali Centre, Border Store, East Alligator and so much more........ Arrive Darwin approximately 5:00pm.
